Denisblim: from Google Sheets to a tournament platform

The host previously ran tournaments on Twitch and YouTube using a Google spreadsheet and formulas. We built a website that brings together match creation, player map selection, missions and a leaderboard, with match progress shown in an OBS overlay.

01

From spreadsheet to a unified service

A Google spreadsheet underpinned the tournaments, with formulas helping to organise gameplay. The task was to bring this workflow into a website where the host manages matches, players make selections and viewers follow the action.

02

Matches and map selection

The host creates matches in the admin panel. Players pick and ban maps through the website, making the draft part of the interface. Match status updates in real time.

03

Missions and results

Players receive missions for the selected maps. Match results feed into the leaderboard, giving the tournament continuity beyond a single stream.

04

The OBS overlay

A dedicated overlay displays players, map selection, missions and results in OBS during the broadcast. The website and the stream follow the same match state.

05

Our work

We designed and developed the tournament website, admin panel and OBS overlay. A single interface for the host, players and viewers replaced the spreadsheet and formulas.
